Animal print is hotter this season than ever, and you can find it in any variety to match your style! Over the past few years, we've slowly seen leopard print become a neutral and now it's fully infiltrated the mainstream. From traditional prints to off-the wall colors, I'll show you what my absolute favorite fun (and comfy!) animal print pieces are this season.
Don a duster.
Long cardigans somehow feel SO FANCY. Add in animal print, and wow, look out for the paparazzi! Every time I wear this leopard cardigan out (and that's been a lot lately), I get stopped and complimented on it. I had a teen girl's mom flag me down at a shopping center to ask where I got it after seeing them in a store earlier, because she said her daughter couldn't stop talking about it since they'd seen me. Last week in the grocery store parking lot some lady yelled "Girl, give me that sweaterrrrr!!! It's amazing!" What I'm saying is this incredibly comfortable and cozy sweater will made you a celebrity. So, get it!I love to pair it with a black top, black leather leggings (which only cost $17!), and basic black booties for a look that is deceptively effortless. It's all about the illusion, people!
Go bold with color.
Animal prints don't have to be neutral. Every type of animal print is available in an array of traffic-stopping fun colors as well, so don't feel like if you don't do browns or blacks, this trend isn't for you. Since I got this yellow zebra striped sweater, it had been my most worn item in the past month or two. It's large enough to cover my steadily growing bump, but it's also fun and sassy. A little bit retro, a little bit modern, and a lot a bit comfortable, it pairs great with jeans and a pair of slides.Go retro.
Obviously one route you can take with animal print is old school retro. Just look like Jackie O. No pillbox hat is necessary, but a turtleneck and all black makes for a nice look if you're wearing this coat out and about. And is there a more classic combo than leopard and print and black? No, no there isn't.Just accessorize.
Not ready to jump all in on animal print? Just accessorize! From leopard print earrings to snakeskin boots, it's all in right now, so you really can't go wrong. Some of my favorite shoes this season are snakeskin booties. I got these from a secondhand store, but I've linked similar ones below! I love how they can take an otherwise boring outfit to the next level. I don't have to feel as bad about just wearing all black (again) when I have a fun shoe with some character! What are your favorite ways to wear animal print? Be sure to let me know in the comments! I'm always loving new ways to incorporate it.
