Holiday Everyday

Well, we've reached the time of year when I only dress in red or green or sparkles and I have zero apologies for that. I put together a few of my favorite holiday looks that are perfect for weekday wear and are only slightly less obnoxious than wearing an ugly Christmas sweater. And you can shop everything at the bottom of the post!

Overall tip? The way to really amp up any holiday look is a bright red lip. So classic. So effective. Any regular ensemble will look positively festive with that addition.

First up: take a cue from Mrs. Claus. Go all in with red and white and classic cuts like ponchos and capes. Unfortunately, this poncho sweater is already sold out, but I've found plenty of other fun red ponchos and linked them below! Ponchos are so wonderful for layering and are such a fun retro-inspired cut that's perfect for a classic holiday look. Plus, these babies hide a little pregnancy bump like nobody's business ;). Always finish off a Mrs. Claus look with white booties.

Next look: dress like an actual candy cane! (Make sure you eat something pepperminty to really drive home this theme.) In all seriousness, red and white stripes are so versatile! They can obviously look like Christmas just slapped you in the face, or they can double for a summery, patriotic look in the warmer months. A lightweight button down ensures it'll work for both seasons. Bonus points for adding a beret.

Last: Shine bright like a diamond. Nothing says "it's Christmas!" like dressing like a tree that someone threw way too much tinsel on. Whether you sparkle in red, green, gold, or any other color, it will be clear you mean holiday business.

This green sweater is perfectly comfy and cozy, but can be jazzed up for a holiday party or dressed down with jeans for a casual weekend look.

Bonus: Look festive while lounging! Because, really, who doesn't want to just wear a robe all month anyway? I got this robe from Target a few weeks ago and putting it on is basically the first thing I do when I get home. It's so cozy and I love the sophisticated green color. When my husband asked if I was really going to wear it every day, I joked that, eh, I'd probably get a pastel colored robe in the Spring. (Full disclosure: not a joke!) The dark green will be perfect for Christmas morning and will have a shelf life way past that as well.
